About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Mental Health Care Assistant to join our team at Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS. As a Mental Health Care Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional care to patients with various mental health conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide tailored support plans for patients based on their specific diagnosis and needs.
  • Build trusting relationships with patients, offering advice and reassurance to promote mental health and wellbeing.
  • Collaborate with doctors, therapists, psychiatrists, and social workers to develop appropriate treatment plans.
  • Conduct standard physical health checks and administer medications as required.
  • Discuss available therapies, support networks, and social activities to improve mental health and wellbeing.
  • Manage workloads and shift patterns to ensure efficient delivery of care.
  • Promote mental health initiatives and reduce stigma associated with mental health.
Requirements
  • 6 months recent NHS experience within the last 3 years.
  • The ability to pass an enhanced background check.
