About This Role

In this dynamic and technical position, you will form a key part of the Financial Planning & Stress Testing (FP&ST) Team at Nationwide Building Society. As an accountant with a focus on balance sheet and margin modelling, you will work collaboratively with the team to deliver scenario forecasting and support financial planning, as well as internal and regulatory stress testing requirements.

Key responsibilities will include overseeing the forecasting of multiple products, maintaining and improving MI reporting, and contributing to improving data transparency and MI reporting. You will also play a crucial role in developing a robust controls environment to build confidence in the outputs produced.

We operate a flexible team structure, which will give you the opportunity to broaden your skillset and knowledge by supporting other deliverables in the team as required. This may include the delivery of our ALCo, IRRBB, and regulatory reporting.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in analysing financial data and discussing outcomes and opportunities. You should also possess strong Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and Lookups, and have a drive and enthusiasm to continually deliver improvements. Additionally, you will need to have proven experience of working in a highly controlled environment and a pro-active approach to managing workload and projects, along with the ability to deal with and prioritise conflicting demands.
