Job Summary
Michael Page Legal is seeking a highly skilled Commercial Counsel to join our client's rapidly expanding business. As a key member of the Legal department, you will provide expert legal and commercial advice in the Technology & Telecoms field, ensuring the company's operations run smoothly and adhere to regulatory standards.
About the Role
- Provide expert legal support, advice, and guidance to the Sales, Commercial, and Communications/Marketing teams on all types of commercial matters, including drafting and negotiating contracts where necessary.
- Work with the Senior Commercial Counsel on high-value and high-priority transactions, managing external legal suppliers and external legal spend where required.
- Reporting into and supporting the Senior Commercial Counsel to drive innovation and efficiency to the commercial legal process.
- Build strong working relationships with the business teams as well as external contacts, including Shareholder and Customer legal teams.
Key Responsibilities
- UK/IRE Qualified with a minimum of 3-6 year's PQE experience in commercial transactions.
- Solicitor with a background in practicing in commercial law.
- Breadth of commercial contract experience.
- Experience working within a busy in-house legal team.
- Strong interpersonal and project management skills.
- Ability to build strong working relationships with colleagues and other stakeholders.
- Good initiative with ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
- Good commercial awareness.
- Experience with Technology, Marketing, and IP contracts.
