Job Title: Accredited Clinical Coder

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accredited Clinical Coder to join our team at the NHS. As a Clinical Coder, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and quality of clinical data, which is essential for informed decision-making and resource allocation.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Translate clinical information from patient records into a coded format, adhering to National and International Clinical Coding Standards and Trust guidelines.
  • Ensure high levels of coding accuracy, as defined by Data Security Toolkit Standard 1 Data Quality, and achieve performance metrics set by the Clinical Coding department.
Requirements:
  • National Clinical Coding Qualification (NCCQ) and Accredited Clinical Coder status.
  • Practical experience of working in a clinical coding setting using ICD10 & OPCS in a large organisation.
  • Coding experience in all clinical specialties.
  • Experience using encoder software and PAS systems.
