Job Description

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor at Vistry Group, you will play a key role in managing project costs, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring that our developments are delivered on time and within budget.

Main Responsibilities

  • ">
  • Manage project costs, including procurement, subcontract management, external valuations, and cash flow analysis.">
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as Land, Development, and Construction, to attend design meetings and provide cost advice.">
  • Prepare construction cost analyses, which include analyzing quotations resulting from the tender enquiry and requesting additional information as required.">
  • Assess site staffing levels and build programs with the Site Manager to determine preliminary costs, collating all cost information and preparing the start-on-site budget.">
  • Arrange and adjudicate budget settlement meetings with the support of the wider Commercial team.">
  • Prepare stage payment schedules to assist in financing the works.">
  • Place subcontractor orders, negotiate contract sums within the budget, and finalize costs to cover late variations.">
  • Issue variation orders and development changes alongside providing cost advice on major variations prior to issue.">
  • Check and arrange subcontractor payments, obtaining necessary authorizations for passing payments for all elements of subcontractor works.">
  • Take responsibility for preparing documents for the basis of external valuation with the client's agent (CSA, Stage payment schedule, Tick-offs).">
  • Liaise with the Customer Service department on post-completion defects, providing cost advice where necessary.">

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quantity surveying, excellent communication and analytical skills, and a proven track record of managing project costs.
