Engineering Asset Manager BESS

Sungrow - EMEA is seeking a highly skilled Engineering Asset Manager BESS to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operation of battery storage assets, ensuring systems are meeting or exceeding operational expectations.
Key Responsibilities- Asset Performance Monitoring: Continuously monitor performance data and ensure systems are meeting or exceeding operational expectations.
- Maintenance Strategy: Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for energy storage systems, ensuring minimal downtime and longevity of assets.
- Operational Optimization: Identify opportunities to enhance the efficiency of battery storage systems through technology upgrades, software optimization, and data-driven insights.
- Data Analytics: Collect and analyze performance data from battery systems, leveraging insights to improve operational efficiency and extend asset life.
- Vendor & Contractor Management: Coordinate with third-party service providers, OEMs, and maintenance teams to ensure timely interventions and repairs.
- Compliance & Regulatory: Ensure that all operations are in compliance with local regulations, including safety, environmental, and electrical standards.
- Budget & Financial Planning: Monitor operational expenses, prepare budgets for asset maintenance, and ensure cost-effective management of storage assets.
- Sustainability Initiatives: Contribute to sustainability targets by optimizing energy storage systems to improve their environmental impact.
- Reporting: Provide regular performance reports to senior management and stakeholders, detailing asset performance, incidents, and improvement strategies.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with the operations of storage systems, ensuring safe and reliable operations.
- Familiarity with Lithium-ion Batteries: Familiarity with lithium-ion batteries, energy storage systems, and renewable energy technologies.
- Electrical Training Certification: Any electrical training certification is a plus. If you are a trained electrician with proven field experience, it's a big plus.
- Energy Monitoring Platforms: Experience with energy monitoring platforms and optimizing energy storage for market participation.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or related field.
- Experience: 3-5 years of experience in service, specifically within energy storage or renewable energy sectors.
- Knowledge of Battery Storage Systems: Strong knowledge of battery storage systems (BESS) technology and energy markets.
- SCADA Systems: Experience with SCADA systems, data monitoring tools, and asset management software.
- Energy Regulations: Knowledge of energy regulations and compliance standards in Europe.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to handle technical challenges and provide actionable solutions.
- Communication Skills: Strong communication skills, with the ability to create detailed reports and present findings to stakeholders.
- Travel Requirements: Willingness to travel within Europe as required for site inspections and meetings.
