About the Role

The University of Northampton is seeking an experienced and skilled individual to join its Marketing and Student Recruitment team as a Web Content Editor. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and maintaining digital content that complies with the University's tone of voice, policies, and regulations.

This includes working with identified content owners of web pages, creating content for digital channels, such as internal sites, microsites, and blogs, and liaising with external agencies to ensure Global Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) reflects key messages and terms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the web content according to agreed standards of plain English, house style, and general principles of online writing good practice.
  • Develop and advise on content needed for all digital channels produced by the University.
  • Work with external agencies and the team to ensure SEO reflects key messages and terms.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will have excellent knowledge and expertise in digital web content, Microsoft SharePoint, and WordPress.

You will also need experience in digital web content management, with accountability for the effective management of content accessibility and web practice.
