Job Overview

Harrow Council is looking for an experienced Children and Families Support Worker to join its Children and Young Adults Disabilities Service 0-25. This role involves working closely with disabled young adults and their families, providing assessment, planning, monitoring, and review functions.

The successful candidate will need to possess a strong understanding of the Children Act 1989 and other relevant legislation, as well as experience in casework responsibility for direct work with children and families within a statutory fieldwork setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment, planning, monitoring, and reviewing cases involving disabled young adults and families.
  • Developing and implementing support plans to meet the needs of children and young people with complex health and disabilities.
  • Working collaboratively with children, young people, and their families to identify and address their needs.
  • Maintaining accurate records and contributing to the development of service policies and procedures.

The ideal candidate will have a recognised professional Social Work qualification and registration with Social Work England. Estimated salary: £40,000 - £50,000 per annum.
