Job Title: Accounts Assistant

Job Summary:

The Accounts Assistant will play a vital role in maintaining financial records and bank reconciliations for our Aviation company. The successful candidate will work within the Accounting & Finance team, located in a well-connected area.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Statement Preparation: Assist with the preparation of financial statements and reports to ensure accurate and timely submission.
  2. Bookkeeping and Invoicing: Perform bookkeeping, invoicing, and budget tracking tasks to maintain financial records.
  3. Accounts Payable and Receivable: Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring all financial transactions are correctly recorded.
  4. Financial Transaction Recording: Ensure all financial transactions are correctly recorded and reconciled.
  5. VAT Returns: Prepare and submit VAT returns in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  6. Financial Process Improvement: Collaborate with the finance team to improve financial processes and procedures.
  7. Bank Reconciliation: Perform bank reconciliation for all client accounts.
  8. Client Account Management: Open and close client accounts, and manage payment requests on online banking systems.
  9. Reporting and Communication: Report client account balances to operations and resolve queries in a timely manner.
  10. Ad-Hoc Duties: Perform other ad-hoc duties as required.

Requirements:

  1. Relevant Degree: A relevant degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  2. Numerical Skills: Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail.
  3. Financial Experience: Exposure to previous financial roles.
  4. Software Proficiency: Proficiency in MS Office and accounting software.
  5. Accounting Principles: Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
  6. Organizational Skills: Good organizational and time management skills.
  7. Teamwork: Ability to work as part of a team and independently when needed.
  8. Financial Regulations: Good understanding of financial regulations and legislation.

Job Offer:

Salary: £26,000 to £30,000 per annum

Job Type: Permanent Position

Benefits: Generous benefits package

Working Arrangements: Hybrid working (2 or 3 days in the office) and flexible working (start and finish time negotiable)
