Sport Attendant

We are seeking a highly enthusiastic and customer-focused Sport Attendant to join our team at Access EA, Edinburgh Academy Trading Company Limited. This is a varied role that requires delivering an exceptional customer experience for all users.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and maintenance in all areas of the Sports Hub, both inside and outside, including cleaning programs for the fitness room and sports equipment.
  • Providing excellent service at Reception, handling telephone calls and emails, and liaising with service users.
  • Setting up and taking down sports equipment, ensuring timely bookings start and finish on schedule.
  • Supervising patrons using the equipment while in the facility, including teams, adults, teenagers, and children.
  • Handling customer queries in person and over the telephone in a confident and positive manner.
  • Charging admission, taking bookings, renting out equipment, or answering the phone.
  • Ensuring the safe and clean environment of New Field pitches and facilities upon opening and closing.
  • Pitch inspections of New Field pitches, ensuring they remain litter-free, and reporting any defects or breakages.
The Ideal Candidate:
  • Previous experience working in a school setting, gym, or fitness centre, and/or customer-facing environment.
  • Coaching or fitness qualification (NPLQ Trainer/Assessor) - desirable.
  • Keen interest in sport and fitness.
About the Role:

The role involves effective communication with multiple stakeholders, internally and externally, and requires interaction with children, adults, parents, teachers, staff, and colleagues.

The postholder will demonstrate a genuine interest in helping others and may have one or more Leisure Qualifications, such as NPLQ Trainer Assessor or First Aid.

Work Environment:

The Sports Attendant will be involved in all aspects of activities taking place at the Sports Hub and New Field, under the supervision of the Sports Hub and Camps Manager.

Remuneration:

£25,000 per annum
