We are seeking a highly skilled Forensic Psychologist to join our team as a Clinical Lead in the OPD Service. This exciting opportunity will enable you to utilize your expertise in forensic psychology to support individuals with severe and enduring mental health problems, including those who have come into contact with the justice system.
This role offers the chance to work closely with Probation Service staff, developing and delivering training, and engaging in time-limited joint working with individuals on probation and their practitioners. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that systems are in place for clinical and professional supervision, including supervising an Assistant Psychologist. Additionally, they will contribute to multiagency working, such as attending MAPPA meetings and liaising with Community Mental Health Teams.
We are looking for an individual with post-graduate doctoral level training in applied psychology, including models of psychopathology, clinical psychometrics, and neuropsychology. They should also have experience working with people with severe and enduring mental health problems, including those who have committed violent and sexual offences. A strong understanding of evidence-based screening, consultation, formulation, and joint casework support is essential.
The salary for this position is £62,000 - £83,000 per annum, depending on experience.
