**Job Title:** Compliance Officer

**Location:** London Gatwick Airport

**Contract Type:** Permanent (Full-Time)

**Shift Pattern:** Monday - Friday

**About the Role:**

We are seeking a highly skilled Compliance Officer to join our Aviation team. As a Compliance Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the security pass process is completed, conducting enhanced background checks for new employees, and requesting and vetting of all references for new employees.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Conducting enhanced background checks for new employees
* Requesting and vetting of all references for new employees
* Responsible for ensuring the security pass process is completed
* Ensuring timely delivery to support the need of fully vetted colleagues
* Ensure a high level of effective communication is maintained with colleagues, management, strategic partners and other DHL stakeholders
* Accountability for all compliance regarding Civil Aviation Authority and DfT

**Requirements:**

* Excellent communication skills at all levels
* Be calm, friendly and professional
* Ability to quickly and accurately react to any given situation
* Work well within a team
* Previous referencing experience - Desirable
* Ability to hold and manage sensitive information respecting confidentiality and data protection at all times
* Aviation specific administrative background - Desirable
* IT Literate and familiarity with Excel
* Exposure to Aviation

**Security Process:**

* Be able to provide 5 years address history
* Be able to provide 5 years reference history (employment/education/benefit claim/character)
* To obtain a full airside ID
