About the Role

Funding Circle is seeking a seasoned Cybersecurity Leader to drive company and project goals, prioritise resources, and ensure timely delivery of security processes, technology, and policies for sustained growth.

Responsibilities

  • Build, manage, and mentor a team of security engineers with a focus on security operations, threat hunting, and risk management.
  • Implement effective security processes, technology, and policies for sustained growth.
  • Represent Funding Circle Security and management at industry events and help grow our brand within the community.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience with a modern security stack, including hands-on experience of SIEM & SOAR technologies, EDR & CASB solutions in a fast-paced security operations environment.
  • Strong understanding of the MITRE ATT&CK framework, NIST CSF, ISO27k, and PCI and their correct application to businesses.
  • Confident working with both technical and business stakeholders to translate security needs to business needs, taking a pragmatic approach to security and risk.
  • Professional experience in attack surface management, security threat hunting, and incident response while implementing security awareness programs across a business.
  • Direct experience of vendor risk management.
  • Proficient technical security understanding of Cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP or Azure as well as data engineering tools and concepts and the following tooling platforms - CSPM, CIEM & DSPM.
