About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join Viasat's operations and engineering teams as a key contributor to the product delivery of our encryption products for government and defence.

As part of an agile team, you will have the chance to grow your current electronics test experience and widen your capability across multiple products designed and developed in-house.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain test equipment, ESS chambers, laser etching, and other manufacturing support equipment.
  • Ensure equipment is calibrated and maintained in accordance with schedules.
  • Perform diagnostics and reporting of failed or returned products.
  • Document work and test instructions.
  • Conduct goods inspection of manufactured assemblies, including First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR).
  • Liaise with production and operations teams to ensure on-time deliveries.
  • Liaise with engineering teams to ensure Right First Time (RFT) and excellent delivered quality.
  • Adhere to and continually improve on-site security and health and safety working environment.
  • Offer feedback and improvement opportunities for test solutions.
Requirements
  • 3 years of experience in an electronics test environment.
  • Sole British nationality and UK security clearance (SC) or DV.
  • Knowledge and experience of mechanical assembly of electronics.
  • Knowledge and experience of fault finding and investigation of electronic assemblies.
  • Experience completing as-built records and record keeping.
  • Knowledge of IPC, ISO/AS quality working environments.
