Job Summary

We are currently looking for a skilled Telecommunications Licensing Strategist to play a pivotal role in obtaining and managing regulatory authorizations that enable our provision of cutting-edge services worldwide.

About the Role
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive global licensing strategy based on business unit needs, analysis of existing license assets, and regional team insights.
  • Manage complex global licensing projects, effectively tracking and communicating project status on a country-by-country basis.
  • Collaborate with other regulatory team members to identify and overcome application challenges.
  • Partner closely with other Viasat teams (business, technical, legal, accounting, etc.) to ensure seamless execution.
  • Develop template application materials that accurately describe Viasat, its innovative service offerings, and technical network elements.
  • Assist in evaluating national licensing requirements given Viasat's planned network operations and business activities.
  • Maintain Viasat's global licensing database in collaboration with IT resources.
Requirements
  • Demonstrable experience in government and regulatory affairs, particularly in telecommunications-related licensing matters.
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written, with leadership and teammates.
  • Excellent administrative and organizational skills, with high attention to detail and accuracy, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to travel up to 20%.

The estimated annual salary for this position is around $120,000-$180,000, depending on qualifications and location.
