RHL Recruitment is pleased to offer a unique opportunity for an experienced Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) professional to join our client's manufacturing plant in Stafford for a 6-month contract with the option to go permanent. The successful candidate will play a vital role in shaping and maintaining EHS programs and associated policies and regulations for the company's Stafford operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • PARTICIPATE IN THE DESIGN, IMPLEMENTATION AND MAINTENANCE OF EFFECTIVE EHS PROGRAMS
  • REVIEW AND UPDATE POLICIES AND PROCEDURES TO ENSURE COMPLIANCE WITH LEGISLATIVE REQUIREMENTS
  • CONDUCT RISK ASSESSMENTS AND PROVIDE GUIDANCE ON SAFETY PROTOCOLS
  • EVALUATE TRAINING NEEDS AND DEVELOP TRAINING MATERIALS

We are seeking an individual with a minimum of 1-2 years of experience in an EHS role who holds a NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent. Strong working knowledge of PPE, COSHH, Risk Assessments, PUWER, Legal Requirements, Training, Waste Management, Sustainability, Contractor management, Cranes and lifting devices, Incident management, MHE, LOTO and high-risk activities such as working at height is essential.

The ideal candidate will possess high-level working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly in PowerPoint and Excel. Power BI skills are a plus but can be taught.

This is a fully onsite role requiring a high level of commitment and attention to detail. As an EHS Associate, you will work closely with the production team to ensure a safe working environment.

  • A competitive salary: £38,000 - £45,000 per annum based on experience
  • 33 days' annual leave including bank holidays
  • Hybrid/site work arrangement: This is a fully onsite role
  • Hours: Working Mon – Thurs, 4 days a week - 07:15-16:30, 37 hours per week
