Job Summary

The Behaviour Mentor role is a dynamic and challenging position that requires a professional with strong behaviour management skills and experience working in a Special Educational Needs (SEN) environment. As a Behaviour Mentor, you will be responsible for mentoring students aged 11 – 19 who have been excluded from mainstream schools due to behaviour or lack of resources.

About the Role

This is a full-time Behaviour Mentor position at a Good-rated PRU School in Lewisham. The successful candidate will act as a role model to students, equipping them with important life skills to succeed. Previous mentoring experience is crucial for this role, and prior experience working in a PRU is desirable.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Mentor students aged 11 – 19 who have been excluded from mainstream schools.
  2. Act as a role model to students, equipping them with important life skills to succeed.
  3. Develop and implement effective behaviour management strategies to support students.

Requirements

To be successful in this Behaviour Mentor role, you will need:

  • Strong behaviour management skills and experience working in a SEN environment.
  • Previous mentoring experience, preferably in a PRU setting.
  • A strong understanding of the needs of students with Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

What We Offer
