Commercial Director Opportunity

Location: Flexible, with a focus on projects in the north of England. Candidates can work remotely or from our office in Nottingham.

Salary/Rate: £100,000 - £120,000/annum + Car allowance, Pension etc.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Director to lead our Highways Division. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will drive commercial success and strategic growth. Reporting to the Commercial Director - Infrastructure, you will oversee all commercial aspects of projects within the highways sector. Your role will involve maximizing profitability, mitigating risks, ensuring contractual compliance, and fostering strong client relationships while driving business development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and execute a commercial strategy for the Highways Division
  2. Manage contracts, financial aspects, and risks associated with projects
  3. Cultivate and maintain client relationships
  4. Lead and motivate a team of commercial professionals
  5. Drive business development initiatives
  6. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and governance standards
Requirements
  1. Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; Master's degree or professional qualifications preferred
  2. Proven track record in senior commercial leadership roles within infrastructure or construction, with focus on highways projects
  3. Extensive knowledge of contract management, negotiations, and risk assessment
  4. Strong financial acumen and analytical skills
  5. Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities
  6. Strategic thinking and innovation in a competitive business environment
