About the Position:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Ophthalmology Specialist to join our team at Hawke's Bay Hospital. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a supportive environment with a strong focus on excellent teaching and comprehensive training.

The successful applicant will have the ability to manage eye care clinics independently and will be responsible for managing acute ophthalmology clinics. Training will also encompass various ophthalmic laser procedures.

As a Senior Ophthalmology Registrar or Fellow, you will work in rotation through different subspecialties in the outpatient department, evaluating patients' problems in detail, using logical and clinical data to arrive at an accurate diagnosis.

Requirements:

  • A medical degree and relevant postgraduate qualifications
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Salary:

$120,000 - $150,000 per annum
