Multiskilled Maintenance Technician

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled engineer to join our operations team at Welsh Sausage Co Ltd. A background in food manufacturing would be advantageous.

The successful candidate will be responsible for attending breakdowns, performing routine maintenance on machinery and equipment, and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues.

Key Responsibilities

1. Maintenance of production equipment to ensure optimal performance.
2. Troubleshooting and repair of mechanical and electrical faults.
3. Reading and interpreting schematics to diagnose problems effectively.
4. Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed.
5. Performance of weekly/monthly PPM's on all equipment.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot.
• Building maintenance skills would be an asset.
• Ability to manage parts stock.
• Ideally from an FMCG background.
• Strong team player.
• Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
