About the Role:

NES Fircroft is seeking a Supplier Quality Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our client's quality team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality standards are met in the manufacturing process.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Product Qualification Activities at Suppliers
  • Contain, manage and resolve Quality issues relating to supplier non-conforming components
  • Manage suppliers to properly handle non-conformance issues
  • Assist with process improvements
  • Lead supplier root cause investigations and corrective actions
  • Investigate and resolve manufacturing capability issues within the supply chain
  • Identify and support cost reduction opportunities
  • Audit existing and potential suppliers to determine capability of manufacturing and ensure quality systems are in place
  • Develop supplier capability to meet current and future requirements
  • Interact with customer-facing businesses to investigate potential product non-conformances

What You Bring:

  • Technical training or further education in quality, mechanical, or electrical engineering
  • Familiarity with Quality Management Systems (e.g. ISO9001), Supplier Quality Management (SQM) and Quality Control routines
  • Comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing processes
  • Knowledge of drawing interpretation (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
  • Demonstrated ability to work with design engineering organization to ensure parts are manufacturable
  • Proven ability to manage multi-problem investigations simultaneously
  • Self-motivated attitude and ownership of projects
  • Ability to project manage Product and Process Qualifications and unexpected Supplier Quality Issues from beginning to end
  • Knowledge of inspection methodologies and assessment of inspection capability
