About the Team

The Stepped Care Therapy team provides specialist occupational therapy services to older adults with complex mental health needs in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. Our team is passionate about delivering high-quality care and supporting service users to achieve their goals.

Job Description

The successful candidate will work closely with colleagues from various disciplines to provide specialist occupational therapy interventions and promote social inclusion and physical and mental well-being. This includes:

  • Providing specialist occupational therapy interventions underpinned by the Model of Human Occupation and the principles of recovery and enablement.
  • Applying a high level of understanding of the effects of cognitive impairment and disability on occupational performance and providing training and advice on lifestyle changes and adaptations to the service user's social and physical environment.
  • Planning and implementing specialist individual and/or group interventions collaboratively, to enable service users to achieve valued goals and satisfactory occupational performance outcomes.
Person Specification
  • Minimum Bachelor level equivalent training in Occupational Therapy.
  • Training in supervision and appraisal.
  • Additional clinical training relevant to specialism.
Working Environment

The post is based in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough, with regular travel within the community required. The working hours are full-time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 17:00. The salary for this role is estimated to be around £42,000-£52,000 per annum, depending on experience.
