Job Title: Clinical/Counselling/Forensic Psychologist–Band 8B

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical/Counselling/Forensic Psychologist to join our team at Black Country Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. As a Principal Psychologist, you will be responsible for providing highly specialist psychological care to clients with complex and contentious mental health conditions or learning disabilities.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide highly specialist psychological assessment and treatment to clients with complex mental health conditions.
  • Develop and implement highly specialist psychological therapies and interventions for individual clients, carers, families, and groups.
  • Provide clinical supervision and training to other staff members.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of multi-disciplinary care plans and pathways.
  • Participate in quality and service improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Post-graduate doctoral level training in applied Psychology (or its equivalent) as accredited by the BPS.
  • HCPC registration as an Applied Psychologist with Chartered Status.
  • Experience of working as a qualified applied psychologist within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Ability to work flexibly and co-operatively as part of a team.
