Management Accountant Opportunity

SF Recruitment is working with a leading SME Business in South Leicestershire to find a qualified Management Accountant to join their team. This is a full-time, permanent position reporting to a supportive Finance Director.

The Management Accountant will be responsible for managing the company's finances to identify opportunities for improvement and growth through analysis of financial information. This will enable the organization to make informed decisions to ensure future stability, profitability, and growth.

The key objectives of this role include:

  1. Managing and reducing operational and production costs
  2. Implementing effective strategies to improve profitability
  3. Identifying and resolving accounting issues
  4. Collaborating with the Financial Director to achieve business objectives

The Management Accountant will support the finance function across various areas, including:

  1. Statutory and Management Accounts preparation
  2. Journals and balance sheet reconciliation
  3. Payroll and expenses management
  4. VAT returns and EC Sales
  5. Fixed assets and IT support
  6. Year End and Audit preparation
  7. Pensions and stock analysis
  8. Ad hoc projects and KPI analysis
  9. Control of direct debits and service contracts
  10. Reporting and communication to the Finance Director
