About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Informatics Specialist to join our team at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our AI, Data Sciences & CogStack team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing machine learning algorithms for the diagnosis, prognosis, and follow-up of complex diseases.

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing machine learning algorithms for the diagnosis, prognosis, and follow-up of complex diseases.
  • Developing machine learning outcomes for monitoring and improving outcome measures.
  • Benchmarking and fine-tuning machine learning algorithms tools for quality control, and validating new features in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Continuously scanning the scientific literature to identify new approaches to machine learning applications that can be implemented to improve our capabilities.
  • Contribute to the publication and dissemination of our learnings in the form of scientific papers, conferences, workshops, and forums.

Requirements

  • Education to a BSc degree level with relevant domain knowledge, skills, and experience in the informatics field.
  • MSc in Computer Science, mathematics, statistics, physics, computational biology, artificial intelligence, data science, or other quantitative field is preferred.
  • Completed or just completing Scientific Training Programme (or equivalence certification) in Bioinformatics / Health Informatics and registered / registration submitted for the Health and Care Professions Council.
  • Post-Graduate experience in advanced data analysis/machine learning related to healthcare.
