Job Title: Clinical Informatics Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Informatics Specialist to join our team at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our AI and Data Science group, CogStack, you will play a crucial role in developing predictive algorithms using Machine Learning techniques to improve healthcare outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement machine learning algorithms for diagnosis, prognosis, and follow-up of complex diseases.
  • Collaborate with clinicians and researchers to design and develop data analytics solutions that address clinical needs.
  • Lead the development of the clinical analytics platform, managing and analyzing genomics data alongside existing clinical, diagnostics, and imaging data.
  • Advise on the use of tools, frameworks, hardware, and software for ML/AI applications.
Requirements:
  • BSc degree in a relevant field, with MSc or PhD in Computer Science, mathematics, statistics, physics, computational biology, artificial intelligence, data science, or other quantitative field.
  • Experience in leading and managing a bioinformatics and data analytics team, with a strong background in machine learning and data science.
  • Proficient in R and/or Python programming, with experience in using data science libraries such as NumPy/SciPy, scikit-learn, pandas, and matplotlib.
  • Experience with at least one major machine learning framework, such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or Keras.
