ENGINEERINGUK is a dynamic and innovative organization that values its employees. We are seeking a Tax Compliance Specialist to join our Finance team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for leading the direct tax compliance and reporting function, overseeing a team of two, and ensuring smooth and timely delivery of compliance and tax returns as well as the planning and delivery of external reporting at year-end. Your expertise in UK taxation, including management of the compliance cycle and consolidated tax reporting process for listed groups, will be crucial in achieving this goal.

About You
The successful candidate will have ACA/CTA/ACCA qualification, robust accounting knowledge, and understanding of tax provisioning and journaling processes. Practical knowledge of deferred tax principles and experience of setting up tax and financial accounting systems is desirable. Proficiency in Excel models and critical spreadsheet principles is essential. As a strong communicator, you will be able to provide clear and concise updates to stakeholders on tax-related matters. The ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively is also required.

Key Responsibilities
* Lead the direct tax compliance and reporting function
* Oversee a team of two
* Ensure smooth and timely delivery of compliance and tax returns
* Plan and deliver external reporting at year-end
* Provide tax advice to business units on commercial initiatives
* Accountable for all aspects of direct tax compliance and reporting
* Act as a subject matter expert on direct tax and tax reporting matters
* Assess the impact on the group of various tax-related developments and provide updates and guidance to stakeholders

Salary and Benefits
This is a full-time position with an estimated salary range of £100,000 - £130,000 per annum, depending on experience. Benefits include pension scheme, life assurance, and annual leave. Requirements
  • ACA/CTA/ACCA qualified or equivalent.
