Job Overview

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Machine Operative to join our team. As an Operational Equipment Technician, you will be responsible for setting up and maintaining our machines, ensuring they operate efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up machines according to job specifications
  • Ensure all necessary materials and tools are available and prepared for production runs
  • Monitor the gluing process to ensure smooth machine operation
  • Check for consistent glue application, ensuring products meet quality standards
  • Report any machine malfunctions or product defects to Shift Manager immediately
  • Perform visual inspections of products to ensure proper gluing and alignment
  • Remove and set aside defective products for further review
  • Load materials (cardboard) into the machine as needed
  • Assist in replenishing materials during production runs to prevent downtime
  • Assist in cleaning and basic maintenance of machines, ensuring they are kept in good working condition
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently as well as part of a team
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lift and handle materials
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Manual dexterity and ability to handle small parts and materials
