About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Placement Officer to join our Adult Mental Health team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for working with individuals and their families to identify creative ways to meet their needs, promoting independence, choice, and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work in a person-centred way with individuals and their families to identify creative ways to meet their needs
  • Develop and implement care plans, risk assessments, and clustering tools for a specified caseload
  • Work with a wide range of services, support colleagues, manage staff, and be responsible for your own learning and development
  • Implement safeguarding policies and procedures, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of adults and children
  • Collaborate with service users, carers, advocates, and peer recovery workers to create a truly empowering and person-centred environment
Requirements
  • Experience in adult mental health, with a thorough understanding of the legislation governing adult social care
  • Robust and comprehensive skills in risk management, negotiation, and communication
  • Ability to work creatively with service users, carers, and other stakeholders to promote wellbeing and recovery
  • Good evidence-based recording skills, with the ability to produce comprehensive reports
  • Emotional resilience, a 'can-do' attitude, and the ability to contribute to a supportive working environment
