Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Technical Equipment Support Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, servicing, repairing, and calibrating laboratory weighing equipment, such as balances, centrifuges, and water purification systems.

This is a full-time position requiring the ability to work in the field, ideally near Oxford, Reading, Slough, or Milton Keynes, with a reasonable commute to London. Some national and international travel may be required.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide on-site service and customer support during field visits.
  • Manage all on-site maintenance, installations, repairs, calibration, diagnose errors or technical problems, and determine reasonable solutions.
  • Produce timely and detailed service reports and issue certificates of analysis for equipment.
  • Follow company procedures and policies as well as UKAS, ISO, GMP standards on customer sites.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Completed HNC/HND in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering/Electromechanics or related discipline.
  • Experience with laboratory weighing equipment (balances, centrifuges, or water purification systems) is desirable; however, training will be provided.
  • Field service experience in the pharmaceutical, biological, or chemical industry following GMP or ISO standards is desirable.
  • Ability to troubleshoot, test, and service technical equipment.
  • Ability to work autonomously and unsupervised.
  • Flexibility and efficiency in adapting to changing work schedules.

  • A competitive salary of approximately £35,000 - £45,000 per annum.
  • 37.5 hours working week.
