Laboratory Equipment Specialist

We are looking for a skilled Laboratory Equipment Specialist to join our team in the UK.

As a Laboratory Equipment Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of laboratory weighing equipment. This includes providing expert service and support to customers, installing, servicing, repairing, and calibrating equipment, and implementing effective solutions to technical problems.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with laboratory equipment and possess excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. You should be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities. We offer a competitive salary of £42,000 - £52,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits.

About the Role:

  • Provide expert service and support to customers during field visits.
  • Install, service, repair, and calibrate laboratory weighing equipment on customer sites.
  • Diagnose errors or technical problems and implement effective solutions.
  • Produce timely and detailed service reports.
  • Foster strong relationships with customers to improve satisfaction and retention.

Requirements:

  • Completed HNC/HND in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering/Electromechanics or related discipline.
  • Experience with laboratory weighing equipment (balances, centrifuges, or water purification systems).
  • Field service experience in the pharmaceutical, biological, or chemical industry following GMP or ISO standards.
  • Ability to troubleshoot, test, and service technical equipment.
  • Flexibility and efficiency in adapting to changing work schedules.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Full driving license.
