**Job Description**

We are seeking an experienced Process Optimization Specialist - Water Quality Assurance to join our team at the Testwood site in Hampshire. As a key member of our Water Performance team, you will be responsible for monitoring and optimizing drinking water quality from source to tap, ensuring compliance with UK and EC legislation.

Your primary focus will be on:

  • Ensuring adherence to relevant UK and EC legislation, particularly relating to drinking water quality
  • Monitoring and analyzing telemetry and laboratory data to optimize treatment processes
  • Routine process audits on Water Supply Works to ensure compliance with regulations
  • Collaborating with field operations staff to optimize treatment processes and maintain compliance with regulations
  • Undertaking water quality risk assessments to mitigate risks to quality and production
  • Investigating root causes of water quality compliance failures and incidents, producing reports with recommendations for remedial and preventative actions

**Required Skills and Qualifications**

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A good understanding of water chemistry/biology and the principles of water treatment
  • A sound understanding of chemistry and/or microbiology, health significance of water quality parameters
  • Knowledge of the regulatory principles and framework governing the UK water supply industry
  • A graduate degree in science or engineering, or equivalent business experience
  • Excellent IT skills, including data analysis in Excel
  • Good mathematical fluency
  • Self-motivation, assertiveness, and independent thought, with excellent teamwork skills
