About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate patient support specialist to join our team at Schoen Clinic York.

Job Summary

As a patient support specialist, you will be responsible for assisting our nursing staff in implementing care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.

Main Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to develop and implement daily activities that support patient care plans
  • Assist with meal times and support feeding methods as needed
  • Conduct regular patient assessments and report any concerns to the nursing staff
  • Participate in multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
  • Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues

Requirements

  • A good standard of education, ideally NVQ level 2 or equivalent
  • Previous experience working in a healthcare setting, preferably as a healthcare assistant
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Willingness to learn and develop new skills
