About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and visionary leader to head our Data Science, Machine Learning, and Artificial Intelligence (ML/AI) Practice in Western Europe. As a key member of our global data leadership team, you will be responsible for driving growth and expansion of our business in the region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the Western European Data Science, ML/AI Practice and develop a comprehensive strategy for growth and expansion.
  • Collaborate with global data practice teams and European business leadership to expand our footprint across Western Europe.
  • Develop and implement end-to-end competency development programs for Generative AI, Advanced Analytics, Computer Vision, NLP, and other emerging technologies.
  • Focus on practical AI application frameworks, including Data, MLOps, and LLMOps, and participate in the development of Responsible AI, ESG, and AI Security offerings.
  • Assist in the development of enterprise transformation offerings, with a focus on pragmatic AI adoption for productivity enhancement and new revenue streams.
  • Drive vertical and horizontal cross-organizational teams to champion an AI-first product vision.
  • Collaborate with client partners to bring AI products and programs to life, while maintaining strong relationships and ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Support sales and pre-sales activities by assessing data opportunities, responding to RFPs, creating proposals, and presentations.
  • Manage and mentor a multi-disciplinary European data team, fostering their professional growth and development across ML/AI.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in ML/AI and emerging technologies, recommending new approaches and methodologies to address challenges.
  • Attend and speak at industry events and conferences, showcasing EPAM's capabilities and expertise.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field, or extensive relevant work experience.
  • Strong hands-on background in data science, understanding of AI/ML technologies and concepts.
  • Good grasp on AL/ML operationalization, MLOps, Data Platforms.
  • Industry visionary, senior leader with a proven track record in driving Data Science, ML/AI practices in large consulting organizations.
  • Extensive work history across data technology and business, with the ability to interact with colleagues and clients at all levels.
  • Proven track record in designing and implementing ML/AI solutions and end-to-end competency development.
  • Demonstrated experience in engaging and influencing senior stakeholders to secure funding or sell ML/AI projects.
  • Exceptional ability to drive C-level client engagements and demonstrate EPAM's capabilities and market offering.
  • Able to think outside the box, drive end-to-end initiatives, and understand the complexity of driving changes in a global multinational organization.
