Job Title: Speech and Language Therapist for Children's Community Services

Job Summary:

We are recruiting on behalf of the Belfast Health and Social Care Trust for a Band 6 Speech & Language Therapist to work in the Belfast Community Clinics for children's services. The successful candidate will provide specialist clinical expertise, responsible for the assessment, diagnosis, and management of communication disorders in children.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialist clinical expertise in the assessment, diagnosis, and management of communication disorders in children.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality care to children with communication disorders.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to meet the unique needs of each child.
  • Conduct regular assessments and evaluations to monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
  • Collaborate with parents and caregivers to provide education and support on communication strategies and techniques.

Requirements:

  • A degree or diploma in Speech and Language Therapy.
  • Current registration with RCSLT or HCPC.
  • At least 18 months of experience working as a speech and language therapist with children who have speech, language, and communication disorders.
  • A valid driving license and access to a car for the duties of the post.
