Job Title: Senior Store Manager

Are you a retail professional looking for a challenging role where you can make a real difference? We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Store Manager to join our team at Talent Finder Jobs.

About the Role:

As a Senior Store Manager, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of our charity shop, including recruiting, line managing, and supporting shop volunteers to maximise sales and revenue for participating charities. You will also be responsible for communicating and working effectively with other shop managers to ensure day-to-day operations are met.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the shop's sales and revenue, meeting targets and increasing sales and profit for the shop
  • Recruit, line manage, and support shop volunteers to maximise sales and revenue
  • Communicate and work effectively with other shop managers to ensure day-to-day operations are met
  • Manage the set-up processes of the shop, including processing deliveries and reporting discrepancies
  • Discuss layout of the shop with the Regional Manager and ensure all merchandising equipment is assembled in line with agreed plans
  • Cover shifts in the absence of volunteers
  • Support the marketing team with activities to raise the profile of the shop and organisation in the local community
  • Take responsibility for rotas to ensure the shop is always operational within its agreed opening hours
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience of working under own initiative within an established commercial framework
  • Time management skills
  • Able to demonstrate an understanding of the retail sector, ideally within a charity context
  • Commercial awareness and ability to make decisions to drive revenue
  • Organising in-shop events and other sales promotions
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to act as an ambassador for our client in their local community
