We are seeking a skilled social worker to join our team in Doncaster. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years' experience working with children and families, and will be registered with Social Work England.

Role Overview

This role involves undertaking assessments and enquiries to identify levels and types of risk or need based on documented evidence. You will also record and analyse information gathered during the process of social care assessment, developing clear associated plans that address issues identified for children.

You will engage with children, their carers and families to understand their circumstances, wishes and feelings. You will contribute to achieving a full understanding of issues being referred, the relative urgency, level of risk or need and the action needed in individual cases.

This role also involves providing an out-of-hours response to children's social care matters, prioritising relative urgency/levels and types of risk and/or need. You will have ownership of your own professional development, engaging with developmental supervision and ensuring up-to-date understanding of emerging case law, research and best practice guidance.
