We have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated Teaching Assistant (SEMH) to join our team at an SEMH school in Chester. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing tailored support to students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
About the JobThis role involves providing individualised support that promotes the academic progress, emotional well-being, and personal development of students with SEMH needs.
Your Key Responsibilities:- Deliver targeted support to students with SEMH needs, enhancing their engagement with learning.
- Develop and implement strategies to manage and de-escalate challenging behaviour, in line with the school's behaviour policies.
- Collaborate with teaching staff, SENCO, and other professionals to create a supportive and inclusive environment.
- Proven experience working with students with SEMH needs and challenging behaviour (in a school or similar setting).
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- $35,000 - $45,000 per annum, depending on experience.
- Ongoing support from a dedicated team.
- The opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to the lives of young people with SEMH needs.
- Flexible working patterns on a supply basis.
- Relevant qualifications in Education, SEN, or Childcare.
- Previous experience in a similar SEMH school setting.
