The Role

As our Director of Finance and Corporate Services, you will work closely with our Board, stakeholders, and employees across both the company and the City Council. You will provide leadership for corporate functions enabling effective financial management, decision-making, and service provision.

You will be responsible for the financial health of the company, ensuring we can achieve our aspirations. A commercial approach is key in supporting the Managing Director in developing ways of growing our customer base and income. We deliver some corporate services directly, while others are brought in from the shareholder. As the Director of Finance and Corporate Services, you will review this mix to ensure NCSL receives the best support while seeking value for money.

Your Responsibilities
  1. Lead finance and corporate services teams to meet company objectives.
  2. Develop and sustain a culture meeting customers' and employees' needs in an inclusive, open, and high-performing environment.
  3. Demonstrate commercial and financial experience including company accounting, managing profit and loss, cash flow, and balance sheets.
  4. Drive transformational and cultural change, business performance improvements, and operate within a company structure understanding directorship requirements.
  5. Develop and drive strategic direction and business planning.
About You

We are looking for a professionally qualified accountant (CCAB, CIMA) with recent and relevant experience. You should be comfortable driving transformational change, operating within a company structure, and understanding directorship requirements. A salary of approximately £80,000 - £100,000 per annum is offered based on location and experience.
