Job Title: Senior Theatre Practitioner – Anaesthetics & Recovery

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Theatre Practitioner to join our team in Anaesthetics & Recovery. The successful candidate will be responsible for deputising for the deputy/lead practitioner of the anaesthetic department, assisting in the day-to-day management of theatres, and achieving and maintaining quality care through up-to-date research-based practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deputise for the deputy/lead practitioner of the anaesthetic department
  • Assist in the day-to-day management of theatres
  • Ensure compliance with departmental policies and procedures
  • Contribute to maintenance of equipment asset register
  • Audit quality of care to improve service and ensure standards are maintained
  • Participate in education, training and development of other staff

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Registered Practitioner with NMC or HCPC registration
  • Educated to degree level with considerable further professional development
  • Evidence of continuous professional development
