About the Role

The Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Research Assistant to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the research requirements of the team, applying research skills to the ongoing evaluation of the service, and developing content to enable expansion to a broader audience.

Key Responsibilities

The Research Assistant will contribute to a service evaluation to assess the effectiveness of current mental health services and resources in North Central London. This will involve comprehensive literature and market research, as well as the systematic identification and documentation of young-adult mental health services in the area. The successful candidate will also be responsible for recruiting professionals to participate in interviews, conducting interviews with vulnerable young people and families, and transcribing and analysing interview transcripts.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a Psychology graduate or equivalent degree, with eligibility for Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership. They will also have experience in qualitative research methodology, working in teams, and conducting interviews. Excellent communication skills, a systematic methodical approach to work, and the ability to work effectively in a team are also essential.
