Aircraft Mechanical Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Supervisor to join our team at CV Library. As a Mechanical Supervisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our production equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Support site/production/maintenance departments in optimising their efficiency by ensuring critical equipment and people's performance, reliability, and safety.
- Diagnose Mechanical faults / downtime on a range of equipment associated with production and site services, carry out improvements and project work (working with the Project engineer).
- Act as a strong business partner for the local management team, with a focus on leadership and quality operations.
- Develop a positive relationship with the production Team and staff in production.
- Lead the maintenance teams in the execution of preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance and periodic inspections on all machines and equipment, accessories (including annual maintenance shuts), and other equipment as may be agreed upon by the team.
- Monitor the team's performance and identify any issues or areas for improvement, including working with MX and closing out Work Orders.
- Ensure that all relevant documentation and paperwork is completed accurately and on time. MX is up to date.
- Follow up on inspection/PM procedures completion to replan outstanding work orders.
- Ensure all risk assessments & method statements are relevant and being adhered to.
- Manage day-to-day duties on-site.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the paper industry or similar process industry.
- Minimum academic qualification: HNC or HND in engineering.
- Relevant mechanical trade qualification.
- Extensive knowledge & experience of mechanical and components and maintenance/repair/troubleshooting experience relative to position.
- Be capable of finding solutions and being resourceful in challenging situations.
- Capable leader with the ability to motivate teams with a view to providing successful, on-time delivery and excellent service with a focus on safety and quality.
- Excellent communication & IT skills to enable effective liaison with clients, vendors and other staff members, including detailed daily/project report writing.
- Understand and be able to comply with all HSEQ processes.
- Ability to undertake comprehensive pre/post job briefs/toolbox talks.
