We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Nursery Practitioner to lead our team of nursery practitioners in providing a safe, stimulating, and educational environment for children aged 0-5 years. As a Senior Nursery Practitioner, you will be responsible for leading and motivating a team of staff, structuring daily and weekly activities, and ensuring that children receive a varied and fun learning experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of nursery practitioners in providing high-quality care and education to children aged 0-5 years.
- Structure daily and weekly activities to ensure that children receive a broad and balanced curriculum in accordance with the Early Years Foundation Stage.
- Develop and maintain warm relationships with children and families to support their learning and development.
- Contribute to the planning and implementation of activities that promote children's physical, social, emotional, and intellectual development.
- Ensure that children's individual needs are met and that they have access to a stimulating and secure environment.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and partners to integrate the nursery with the wider children's services brand.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures that promote equality and diversity.
Requirements:
- NVQ Level 3 in Child Development or equivalent.
- Experience of working with children under 5 years of age and their families.
- Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage and safeguarding issues and procedures.
- Understanding of equality and diversity issues and the ability to promote these in the workplace.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
