About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled CDM Advisor to join our team at Binnies, a leading environmental, engineering, and technical services business. As a CDM Advisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and objectives within our multi-disciplinary engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Proactively oversee CDM compliance, ensuring regulations and objectives are consistently met with other appointed duty holders.
  • Produce timely and accurate CDM compliance reports and suitability reviews of pre-construction.
  • Review design assumptions and design risk assessments to ensure hazards have been eliminated or reduced to as low as is reasonably practicable.
  • Ensure designs comply with Anglian Water 'Safe to Operate' requirements, considering operational staff's wellbeing and overall project costs.
  • Develop and deliver Health & Safety training packages to designers and suppliers to ensure best practice and knowledge sharing.
  • Partner closely with the Anglian Water CDM Discipline Head to best meet CDM and client requirements while pushing innovation and processes to ensure compliance in the most efficient fashion.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will hold a qualification in Engineering or Health & Safety and have experience working in a multi-discipline design team. You will be comfortable applying Health & Safety principles in design and have an understanding of operational and maintenance requirements of water industry assets and construction processes and procedures.
