Job Description
This role requires a highly skilled and experienced Design Coordinator who can work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for leading and managing design consultants and design subconsultants inputs on projects, ensuring that they are delivered on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the design process to ensure that it is aligned with commercial outcomes
- Lead on technical risk management and mitigations for the client
- Work on large, multi-disciplinary projects in the defence, science, nuclear and government property sectors
Pre Contract, Inc Work Winning and Tenders
- Assist the Design Manager and bid/project teams where support is being provided for a bid process
- Identify and coordinate multi-disciplinary design team inputs to the bid process
- Develop and manage the Project Execution Plan in conjunction with design discipline leads
Live Projects
- Support the Design Manager in managing multidisciplinary design teams
- Deliver complete, accurate and viable design information in a timely manner
- Produce Progress Reports as required for the projects
Financial and Reporting
- Coordinate the design process to an agreed commercial proposal
- Actively manage the commercial and contractual project risk profile
- Fully understand the project contract, including all subsequent contract variations
Estimated Salary: £40,000 - £55,000 per annum
