Job Description

Our client, a leading Food Manufacturing business, is seeking an exceptional Health, Safety and Environmental Manager to join their team.

The Role:

  • Provide accurate and timely advice to stakeholders, ensuring relevant information is disseminated effectively.
  • Contribute to the success of the business by delivering key objectives on time, managing and motivating staff, and providing input to new projects and existing work systems.
  • Ensure suitable and sufficient records are kept, and legal compliance is achieved.
  • Obtain meaningful reports, provide relevant information to stakeholders, and investigate accidents effectively.
  • Carry out regular audits and plant inspections as appropriate, and develop and deliver safety training programs.
  • Manage the site contractor safety management system and ensure an appropriate budget is available and spent on SHE requirements.

Key Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a management or SHE role within Food manufacturing.
  • Expert knowledge of best practice and industry standards, with the ability to implement these effectively.
  • Good knowledge of Environmental and Sustainability practices, with the ability to adopt and implement.
  • Understanding of how local Government departments work and the ability to proactively engage with key stakeholders.
  • Agile thinking and behaviors, flexibility to attend national SHE meetings, and previous People Management experience.
  • Ability to manage a Change Culture in terms of Health & Safety.
  • Desirable qualifications: NEBOSH, ISO 45001, ISO 14001, IOSH, and HACCP.

Remuneration:

The client is willing to pay up to £65,000 for the right candidate.
