Rig Locums Ltd is currently recruiting for a Clinical Haematology Medical Officer to work in Plymouth. This permanent role requires the successful candidate to provide registrar-equivalent cover in Clinical Haematology across various settings.

Key Duties:
  1. Providing medical care and support to patients in the ward, day unit, and outpatient settings.
  2. Managing teams of junior doctors and ensuring smooth patient flow.
  3. Conducting procedure lists, including Bone Marrow Biopsies and Intrathecal Chemotherapy administration.
  4. Developing and maintaining skills in haematology sub-specialties.
  5. Participating in on-call duties as part of the 'first on call' haematology middle-grade tier.

The salary for this role is around £62,000 per annum. Additionally, we offer competitive benefits, including CPD training and excellent referral schemes.

Eligibility Criteria:
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in internal medicine or an ACCS programme (excluding Foundation modules).
  • Demonstrated expertise in Haematology at registrar level, including chemotherapy prescription.
  • Proficiency in procedures like bone marrow biopsy and intrathecal chemotherapy.
  • Availability for on-call duties.
