We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Service Manager to lead our field service and maintenance requirements. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities

">
  1. Lead all field service and maintenance requirements for our fabrication and welding manufacturing company based in Preston.
  2. Manage the field service team who support the manufacturing function.
  3. Oversee daily office operations and ensure a productive work environment.
  4. Overall management of the back office administration team.
  5. Manage administration tasks.
  6. Supervise and support administrative staff, fostering a collaborative team atmosphere.
  7. Assist with human resources functions such as onboarding, performance appraisals, and reviews for your team.
  8. Utilize and manage the back office admin systems used.
  9. Ensure effective phone etiquette is maintained when handling calls from clients and suppliers.
  10. Implement office policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
  11. Provide support to the National Technical Manager in the overall management of the Service Department.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Proven experience as a Service Manager / Office Manager or in a similar manufacturing / engineering / administrative role.
  • Experience within a manufacturing / engineering environment - as a service manager.
  • Strong supervisory skills with experience in team management.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism in all interactions within the office environment.

Compensation and Benefits

This exciting opportunity comes with a competitive salary of £45,000 - £55,000 plus car/car allowance, bonus, and benefits.
