We are seeking a highly motivated and empathetic Care Support Professional to join our team at Sense. As a Care Support Professional, you will be working with individuals who have complex disabilities, including dual or single sensory impairment, learning disabilities, and associated physical disabilities.
With a focus on providing high-quality support and care, you will work closely with our service users to understand their needs and preferences, promoting independence and choice in all aspects of their lives. Your role will involve supporting individuals with personal care needs, as well as helping them participate in various activities and interests that promote their health and wellbeing.
The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal, and be able to adapt to the diverse needs of our service users. You will also be able to demonstrate patience, understanding, and empathy when interacting with individuals who may require additional support.
In addition to your core responsibilities, you may be required to drive a vehicle to transport service users, so a full manual UK driving license is desirable but not essential. We encourage applicants from diverse backgrounds and offer comprehensive training and development opportunities to ensure you reach your full potential.
As a Care Support Professional at Sense, you will receive a competitive salary of £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a range of benefits, including 24 days' annual leave, a free DBS check, and access to our award-winning Growing Stronger Leaders Together programme.
About Sense: Sense is a leading charity that supports people with complex disabilities, deafblindness, and sensory impairments. Our mission is to empower individuals to live fulfilling lives, free from isolation and stigma. At Sense, we value diversity and inclusion, and we are committed to creating a work environment that is welcoming and supportive of all employees.
