Job Title: Commercial Asset Controller

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Asset Controller to join our team. As a key member of our Fleet Maintenance team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal maintenance and repair of our vehicle assets.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Monitor and report on daily Vehicle On-Road (VOR) status.
  2. Liaise with workshops, fleet maintenance colleagues, and repair agents to minimize vehicle downtime.
  3. Manage the workflow through the Tranman vehicle management system, reviewing and approving repair spend as necessary.
  4. Review and negotiate repair prices with workshops and manufacturers.
  5. Collaborate with repair agents to achieve the best value for our clients while ensuring timely vehicle return to service.
  6. Identify opportunities to improve our preventative maintenance regime and implement changes to benefit our clients.
  7. Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to deliver vehicles required by the business, safe to operate.
Requirements:
  1. Organizational skills and attention to detail.
  2. Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  3. Ability to analyze maintenance and financial data.
  4. Mechanical knowledge of HGVs, including build, maintenance, and operation.
  5. Commercial and business acumen.
  6. Confidence in managing suppliers and national account managers.
  7. Excellent communication skills for liaising with suppliers.
  8. CPC holder desirable but not essential.
  9. Experience with Hazardous Goods desirable but not essential.
  10. Willingness to learn and continuous improvement mindset.
  11. Great interpersonal skills with a professional communication style.
